20 Oct 2022drilling progress report● Neutral
Pad construction has started for the Wolf Pack well, the first Phase Two SWISH well, with crews on site and work said to be on schedule. This is early site preparation ahead of the rig contracted for the early November spud.
Juanita pad construction is finished and the 70-foot conductor hole is cased and cemented. The rig and crew are due on site the week of 17 October. Preparatory step toward the Bradbury spud; no drilling results yet.
Brookside has tripled its acreage in the new Bradbury area, east-northeast of SWISH, holding three 40-acre units at ~80% working interest. The first low-cost vertical well, Juanita (~6,450 ft TVD), is set to spud mid-October, funded from cash and cashflow.
With the three-well HBP program nearly complete, Brookside has lodged OCC applications for a new Sycamore well in the Jewell unit (the Ruby well, east half) and is preparing similar applications for Rangers. Pre-drill planning has started; no spud date or cost given.
Flames flow-back has begun, with the well flowing to temporary facilities and some oil and gas already recovered alongside stimulation fluid. Next step is switching to permanent facilities and starting sales. No flow rates given yet.
Flames fluid circulation is complete and the site is connected to the Enerfin gas sales pipeline with a meter installed. Temporary flow-back equipment is set and tested. Flow-back is next; no flow rates yet.
Flames isolation plugs have been milled out. Next is circulating fluid to clean out debris before flow-back begins to temporary facilities. On schedule and without incident; no flow results yet.
Flames multi-stage stimulation was completed as designed. Next is milling out isolation plugs, clean-up and fluid recovery, expected to take about 14-21 days. Production is therefore still some weeks away.
Multi-stage hydraulic stimulation of Flames has started, with the first stages pumped as designed. The company expects this phase to finish late the following week. Moves Flames from preparation into completion; no flow results yet.
Flames surface facilities are finished, including connection to the gas sales line, and PSC has begun mobilising. Completion is expected to start shortly, a few days after the early-June start previously flagged. No results yet.
Flames surface production facilities are being installed and the coiled tubing unit is on site. PSC is to start moving in equipment, with completion expected to begin the first week of June, as previously planned. No results yet.
Flames reached TD of ~18,140 ft, slightly short of the ~18,300 ft projection, and production casing is cemented. It is Brookside's longest well and the last of the three-well hold-by-production program. Completion and first production are next.
Flames is still drilling the Woodford lateral, now at ~17,400 ft measured depth against a projected ~18,300 ft TD. On schedule and without incident; no results yet.
Flames is drilling ahead in the Woodford lateral at ~14,300 ft measured depth, on schedule and without incident. Follows the ~9,050 ft reading on 31 March. No results yet.
Rangers clean-up is complete and the well is flowing to temporary facilities, with oil and gas seen in recovered stimulation fluid. Next step is switching to permanent facilities and starting sales. Follows the 30 March plug milling; no flow rates given yet.
Flames intermediate casing is set and cemented, the curve is landed, and the rig is drilling the lateral at ~9,050 ft. The lateral target is ~10,000 ft, to a projected TD of ~18,300 ft. On schedule; no results yet.
Rangers isolation plugs are milled out and the well is circulating to clean up debris. Oil and gas reached surface, which the company says was expected. About 14 more days of clean-up and flow-back remain before first sales. No flow rates yet.
All Rangers stimulation stages were pumped as designed, on schedule. A coiled tubing unit now mills out the isolation plugs, then clean-up and fluid recovery, expected to take 14-20 days. Flow rates are still to come.
Flames surface casing is set and cemented, and the well is drilling ahead at ~7,665 ft toward the intermediate casing point. Operations are on schedule and without incident. No new result.
Stimulation of Rangers has started, with the first few stages pumped to design, on schedule. The stimulation phase is expected to finish late the following week, after which comes flow-back and first sales. No production results yet.
The Flames well, the third and final well of the SWISH hold-by-production program, spudded late the previous week and is drilling the vertical section. It follows the 7 March acceleration. Brookside is now drilling Flames while completing Rangers; ~10,000 ft Woodford lateral planned, TD ~18,300 ft.
Cudd has finished rigging up and testing at Rangers, and the multi-stage hydraulic stimulation is about to begin, expected to take about two weeks. All surface production facilities are in place. This follows the 4 March mobilisation; no flow results yet.
Brookside accelerated the Flames well, a ~10,000 ft Woodford lateral, with Kenai Rig 18 mobilising and WI expected above 80%. CPS Capital is providing short-term loan funding and options underwriting; the company says it is fully funded to complete its three-well program. Loan size and terms are not in the text shown.
Cudd began moving completion equipment to Rangers. Completion starts 7 March, with about two weeks of plug-and-perforate work and a further three weeks of clean-up before flow results. Management notes the well is an offset to the Sundance Kid well, which initially flowed above 2,000 BOE/d.
Surface production facilities at Rangers are being installed, including separators and four 750-barrel tanks, and the well is being connected to a gas sales line. Cudd completion work is still expected to start in the first week of March; on schedule.
Construction of the multi-well pad for the Flames well has begun, on schedule, with a 475 ft x 475 ft pad designed for drilling and completion equipment. This is the first sign of activity on the Flames unit, the third SWISH well; no spud date given.
Citation (10.2%), Continental (5.3%) and Exxon subsidiary XTO (1.7%) confirmed participation in the Rangers unit, with a further 2.1% taken by smaller private firms. Brookside expects to keep ~80% WI, in line with earlier '>80%' guidance, and Black Mesa operates.
Production casing is run and cemented in the Rangers lateral, and Kenai Rig 18 is released. Site work has begun for stimulation equipment and surface production facilities. Completion and first production still lie ahead.
Rangers reached total depth of ~17,460 ft on 11 January, slightly short of the ~17,750 ft planned. Extensive oil and gas shows continued through the horizontal section, per the company. Next is running production casing; no flow results yet.
Rangers has started drilling the horizontal section and was at ~14,030 ft. The company reports extensive oil and gas shows in mud logging, which it says are consistent with expectations. No flow rates yet.
