Brookside added a fifth SWISH drilling unit, 960 acres next to its Jewell and Bruins units, lifting its drilling inventory by about 26%. This is the fifth unit it was pursuing. Initial plan is two ~8,000ft wells (Sycamore and Woodford) once the unit is approved; no timing or cost given.
Brookside says industry activity points to two possible new zones in its SWISH acreage, the Simpson Group sands and Caney Shale, with Continental Resources active. It is only monitoring them; no drilling or spending by Brookside is announced.
First oil and gas sales were established from the Bruins well, 14 weeks after its 25 February spud, on budget and on schedule. It is the ninth operated SWISH well and the first of the 2025 program. Initial rates will be reported once stabilised.
