30 Jan 2026resource reserve update● NeutralMajor
December quarter 2025 and year-end reserves: 2P+2C resource trimmed to 62 MMbbl from 65, and producing reserves fall to 124 Mbbl (NPV10 US$2.4m) after the EQV sale. Cash US$14.2m, no debt. Sales 48,900 bbl.
Two deals end the long partner search. A US-listed partner can earn 80% of about 46,100 net undeveloped acres by funding about US$46m of wells, carrying Australis's 20%. Separately, 90% of producing well interests sold to EQV for US$16.9m, allowing full debt repayment and about US$12m pro forma cash.
Year-end 2023 Ryder Scott update: 2P+2C resource cut to 89 MMbbl from 120, PDP reserves 2,085 Mbbl with NPV10 US$47m (versus US$82m a year earlier). December quarter EBITDA was negative US$0.4m; cash US$3.8m, debt US$8m. Acreage 61,400 net.
Year-end 2022 Ryder Scott update: 2P developed reserves 3.14 MMbbl (down 15%); 2C contingent resource 117.06 MMbbl (down 21%), reflecting only reduced leased acreage. PDP NPV10 rose to US$82m on a higher oil price. No undeveloped reserves, as no partner is secured.
Year-end 2021 Ryder Scott update: 2P developed reserves 3.67 MMbbl (down 11%); 2C contingent resource 148.99 MMbbl (flat). No undeveloped reserves were booked because there is no development plan while the company seeks a partner. Acreage about 98,000 net; five marginal wells sold.
Year-end 2020 Ryder Scott update: 2P reserves fall 66% to 21.0 MMbbl and 1P 79% to 10.4 MMbbl, because the assumed five-year drilling plan shrinks from 180 to 58 wells. 2C rises 15% to 149.4 MMbbl; PDP is 3.7 MMbbl. Oil is reclassified, not lost.
Ryder Scott year-end 2019 estimate: 1P up 53% to 48.6 MMbbl, 2P up 25% to 62.1 MMbbl, 3P 93.8 MMbbl, 2C up 20% to 129.5 MMbbl. Increase attributed to the 2019 drilling program and 5,000 added acres, updating the 2018 figures.
Fracture stimulation on wells 5 and 6 began 20 September, with flowback expected mid October. Drilling is paused while vendor contracts, including the rig, are renegotiated. Wells 1-4 remain at or above type curve on a normalised basis.
Saxby 03-10 2H (well 6) drilled to 17,560 ft with about 5,000 ft lateral and a stable wellbore using the new mud. Six-well commitment is complete, about 8 weeks behind schedule but within budget. Fracs due late August; a roughly 2-month drilling pause follows.
11 June 2019drilling progress report● NeutralMajor
Five of six initial wells are drilled; Stewart 30H-1 has made over 116,000 bbl in 150 days, above type curve. The Quin well will have a shorter lateral after third-party equipment failures. Macquarie lifted Tranche 1 to US$65m (US$20m drawn); a 1-3 month drilling break is being considered.
Taylor 27H-1 (20 stages) and Williams 26H-2 (9 stages) began flowback on 2 April. Stewart 30H-1 made 86,500 bbl in 92 days, 35% above type curve. Acreage rises to 115,000 net acres, adding 9 MMbbl 2C (total 206 MMbbl).
Williams 26H-2 (well 4) hit a failed tool and stuck pipe, so it will be completed on about 3,000 ft of lateral, expected at roughly 40% of type curve. Taylor 27H-1 awaits frac; new drilling fluid is planned from well 5. Stewart 30H-1 still ahead of type curve.
Ryder Scott year-end 2018 update on 110,000 net acres: 2P reserves rise to 49.7 MMbbl (from 46.6) and 1P to 31.9 MMbbl. 2C contingent resource is 107.8 MMbbl, and PDP value is US$82.8m. This covers the added acreage.
Stewart 30H-1 began flowback on 29 December 2018, with early production 'encouraging and in line with expectation'. Bergold 29H-2 has a casing restriction that blocked plug drill-out, so it is not representative of expected productivity and needs later remedial work.
Fracture stimulation finished on Stewart 30H-1 (20 stages) and Bergold 29H-2 (6 stages). Flowback is expected around the new year, with IP30 data due in February 2019. Williams 26H-2 is at 11,295 ft; the spudder rig has begun the Saxby/Quin pad.
Bergold 29H-2 hit unstable formation and a stuck drill assembly; the company will complete it at about 2,000 ft of lateral rather than drill on. Stewart 30H-1 (19,424 ft) was ahead of plan; the rig moves to the Taylor/Williams pad, with frac starting in December.
Stewart 30H-1 drilled to 19,424 ft with a 6,900 ft horizontal section, finished in 25 days against a 32-day target. The rig has moved to Bergold 29H-2; production results are still to come.
The Nabors B14 rig started drilling the Bergold 29H-2 on 29 September 2018, the first well of the initial TMS program. Results for the first pair of wells are expected by late Q1 2019.
Ryder Scott's year-end 2017 estimate books first undeveloped reserves: 1P 28.9, 2P 46.6 and 3P 60.2 MMbbl net, on a 126-well plan covering about 35% of acreage. 2C resource falls to 98.0 MMbbl from 107 as part moves to reserves. Producing reserves NPV10 is US$79.5m.
Completion of the Encana TMS acquisition, settled 13 April 2017 for US$68.3m (US$80m less US$11.7m adjustments). Australis now holds 81,000 net core acres and about 1,700 bbl/d from 31 producing gross wells. Resolves the February deal.
Independent estimates roughly doubled: TMS best-estimate net 2C contingent resource rose 104% to 26.4 million barrels (about 19,000 net acres), and Portugal rose 96% to 458.5 Bcf. Ryder Scott replaced the earlier engineer for the TMS assessment.
