12 Sept 2025half year report▼ Bad
Half-year to 30 June 2025: net loss of $539,232, against a $321,219 profit in the first half of 2024. Cash was $2.27m at 30 June. Yarrow 3 receipts were $1.15m year to date. Text carries stray headers from an old Kilgore report; the figures are Red Sky's.
Construction has started at the KN2 well pad at Killanoola, with topsoil removal under way and expected to finish within two days. Cultural monitoring is on site. Follows the 8 September approval; the company says it remains on schedule for drilling.
South Australia's energy department gave final approval to build the KN2 well pad at Killanoola (80 x 70 m). Construction is due to finish within about two weeks. This clears the approval hold-up reported in June; the same rig is to drill KN2 and do the DW1 pump workover.
Angola's parliament ratified the Block 6/24 Risk Service Contract and a formal signing ceremony was held. Red Sky keeps its 35% interest (Sonangol 50% operator, ACREP 15%). Clears the way for JVOA finalisation and a work programme; resources remain 5.1 MMbbl net 2C contingent, 11.0 MMbbl 2U prospective.
June 2025 quarter: Yarrow 3 receipts $0.58m; Yarrow 1 completion and tie-in delayed by flooding, with first gas now Q4 2025 (previously Q3). KN2 still awaiting approvals, spud now expected in Q3. Cash $2.27m, down from $2.76m.
KN2 drilling is awaiting final government approvals; the company expects no significant delay. The rig originally allocated has been temporarily deployed to another operator, so the timeline is to be confirmed. This slips the late-quarter spud targeted in May.
Binding farm-in for Killanoola's KN2 well: Condor Energy, Chawla and VB Energy fund 75% of drilling to earn 45% of the well. Red Sky keeps 55% of KN2, 100% of the rest of the licence and operatorship. Spud targeted late June quarter at the earliest, subject to approvals.
March 2025 quarter: Yarrow 3 receipts $0.57m; Yarrow 1 fracture result ~1.8 MMscf/d, flowline construction Q2 and first gas Q3 2025. Killanoola in talks with the Santos-operated Cooper Basin JV on processing. Angola maiden resources restated. Cash $2.76m, down from $2.96m.
Amended re-release of the 9 April Angola resource announcement, adding the Listing Rule 5.25.4 statement that no reserves are reported and that volumes are unrisked. Resource numbers unchanged.
Maiden independent (PetroAus) estimates for Angola Block 6/24: Cegonha net contingent resource (2C) 5.1 MMbbl, 3C 10.8 MMbbl, plus net prospective 2U 11.0 MMbbl across three prospects. Delivers the resource review commissioned earlier; volumes are unrisked and no reserves are booked.
2024 annual report: the MD calls 2024 the first full year of production, citing higher cash and the Angola Block 6/24 entry (35%, Cegonha best-estimate in place 106 million barrels). Killanoola crude market problem described as resolved; work can proceed subject to costs and rig availability. Text truncated; financials not shown.
Appendix 4G corporate governance checklist for the year to 31 December 2024, dated 28 March 2025 and lodged with the annual report. Administrative compliance filing; no new business information.
Yarrow 1 was fractured in two stages; flowback finished at about 1.8 MMscf/d and 87 barrels of water a day. That matches the pre-frac test rate and is in the low half of the 1.6-3.6 range. Online target slips from Q2 to Q3 2025, pending flowline approval.
Santos will begin fracture stimulation at Yarrow 1 within days, with equipment being mobilised. Expected post-frac rates are 1.6-3.6 MMscf/d, and the well is still targeted to be fully operational in Q2 2025. This follows the delay from January.
December 2024 quarter: Yarrow 3 receipts $0.45m (down from $0.63m); cash $2.96m. Yarrow 1 fracture stimulation slipped to late February 2025. Killanoola rig work now depends on an acceptable offtake. The Angola Block 6/24 stake is restated, with an independent resource review commissioned.

Red Sky signed a Risk Service Contract on 31 December 2024 for a 35% interest in Block 6/24 offshore Angola, alongside Sonangol E&P (50%, operator) and ACREP (15%). It is the company's first Angola asset, with a possible commercial oil discovery, Cegonha. It needs Angolan parliamentary ratification, expected within about 90 days.
Pre-frac workover at Yarrow 1 is complete, with the 4.5-inch sleeve cemented and the rig released on 19 December 2024. Fracture stimulation is now expected in late January 2025, later than the earlier January completion target for all downhole work.
Santos has mobilised the workover rig to Yarrow 1 and begun rigging up and pre-frac scoping. Re-entry begins imminently; downhole work still due by January 2025 and the well operational in Q2 2025. This follows the October re-entry announcement.
September 2024 quarter: Yarrow 3 receipts $0.63m (down from $0.93m), with substantial downtime noted; cash $3.1m. Yarrow 1 re-entry restated. Killanoola now targets KN2 as a vertical well, with other buyers still sought. Management is pursuing opportunities in South East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Santos will start the Yarrow 1 re-entry in early November 2024. A September flow test gave about 1.8 MMscf/d with high wellbore skin, so fracture stimulation is planned, targeting 1.6-3.6 MMscf/d. Downhole work due by Jan 2025, operational Q2 2025. Yarrow 3 receipts total $3m.
RIU conference presentation largely repeating known facts: Yarrow 3 receipts $2.7m since inception, Yarrow 1 re-entry on schedule for Q4 2024, Killanoola Viva Energy deal and ongoing talks with other buyers. Share price A$0.006, market cap A$32.53m, nil debt.
Half-year to 30 June 2024: net profit $321,219 against a $712,251 loss a year earlier. Cash $3.33m, Yarrow 1 re-entry still Q4 2024. Killanoola plan revised again (rig for DW1 pump, vertical wells from new pads); oil offtake talks continue. Text is partly truncated.
June 2024 quarter: Yarrow 3 receipts of $0.93m, lower than the $1.17m prior quarter, with the report noting substantial downtime. Cash rose to $3.33m. Killanoola now says a concentric workover unit will replace the DW1 pump, and the company is again in talks on oil offtake.
Yarrow 3 has generated $2.05m of cash receipts since start, flowing at 3,500 mcfpd. At Killanoola, a conventional rig will replace the DW1 pump, and, citing cost inflation, the KN2 and SE2 wells will be drilled as deviated wells from existing pads. This revises the earlier plan for new well sites.
March 2024 quarter: Yarrow 3 brought in $1.17m of receipts and cash rose to $2.943m. The Yarrow 1 re-entry slipped to Q4 2024 because of pipeline capacity, at $0.96m net cost to Red Sky. Killanoola pump fix and wells still being planned, with cost constraints noted.
