GMX confirmed an amendment to its East Texas participation agreement with Penn Virginia Oil & Gas Corporation (PVOG), effective retroactively from May 11, 2004. It allows two-rig drilling, lets PVOG start Phase II early and move up to two carried-interest wells into Phase I, widens the Phase I area of mutual interest, extends the area of mutual interest provisions from two to four years, and lengthens the gas gathering agreement to the life of the wells with a lower fee.
