25 Aug 2026resource reserve update▲ GoodMajor
Galilee expanded the Zydeco-1 sidetrack to seven targets after identifying five shallow oil zones, with unrisked gross Prospective Resource of 317.0 kbbl (2U) and 422.6 kbbl (3U). Stafford has no resource attributed; Upper Tweedel remains the main target.
Zydeco-1 drilling stopped at 9,393 ft when pipe became stuck, so Galilee plans a sidetrack from 2,760 ft to about 9,800 ft. The original hole showed Homeseeker B hydrocarbon indications and a new Stafford gas target. Tweedel is still untested.
Zydeco-1 hit the Homeseeker B sand on prognosis at about 8,946 ft, with continuous high-pressure gas readings. These are preliminary and not in the project model, so they are possible extra upside. Drilling continues to the Tweedel target, with logging results expected around end of July.
Zydeco-1 in Louisiana spudded (drilling began), on schedule and budget, as Galilee's first US Gulf Coast well. It targets up to 13.7 bcf gas and 610,000 bbl condensate. The next material update is due after electric logging, flagged for August 2026.
Rig 103 is on site at Zydeco-1 with the derrick raised and conductor installed. Final pre-spud checks are under way, with spud still set for the first week of July 2026. Operations are described as on schedule and on budget, with the 13.7 bcf and 610,000 barrel target unchanged.
The Zydeco-1 drilling pad is complete and the rig is mobilising, with spud still set for the first week of July. The target is now quoted at an unrisked 13.7 bcf gas and 610,000 barrels of condensate, up from 8 bcf and 0.5 mmbbl. Galilee holds 100% working interest and 70% net revenue interest. It also issued 36M unlisted options to investor relations consultants.
Site preparation has started at the Zydeco-1 location, with civil works expected through June. Spud remains set for the first week of July 2026. Follow-on US opportunities are said to be identified, with funding and participation terms to be settled only after Zydeco-1 succeeds.
Zydeco-1 well design and directional plan finished, with a total depth of about 9,750 feet. A revised casing design saves roughly US$100,000. The cost estimate (AFE) is nearly complete, and spud is still planned for 2Q 2026.
Zydeco-1 well plan finalised: the surface site moved to a nearby farm field to cut site costs, with minor directional drilling. The well will also assess the Homeseeker B sand for possible oil, not in current estimates. Spud still planned for 2Q 2026.
A 3D seismic review confirmed the final bottom-hole location for Zydeco-1, which targets up to 8 Bcf gas and 0.5 MMbbl condensate, with spud planned for 2Q 2026. It cited WTI at about US$90/bbl and gave first-production targets of ~6 months from successful flow in one place and under 9 months in another.
Galilee says Zydeco-1 drilling is on track to start in 2Q 2026, with a well location chosen, rigs shortlisted and permitting still in progress. The well could deliver up to 8 bcf gas and 0.5 mmbbl condensate, with sales targeted within six months of spud.
Glenaras 29, the sixth and final well, reached 1,039m with 27m of net coal and excellent gas shows. The drilling programme is finished and the rig released. Two existing wells are back producing, with the rest returning over coming weeks.
Glenaras 26 reached 1,039m with 28m of net coal and excellent gas shows, completing the fifth well. Glenaras 29 spudded 17 June and is drilling at 850m. Power station upgrade is complete; all surface works are due by end July.
Galilee adds a sixth well, Glenaras 29, to the 2022 programme, placed in the centre of the pilot to speed up pressure reduction after rain shut in existing wells. The company says the A$6.1M R&D refund helped make it possible.
Glenaras 25 reached 1,058m with 28m of net coal and excellent gas shows. With four wells drilled, the company says results confirm its geological model and fault zone. The rig is moving to the last well, G26. Power station upgrade and gathering trenching are progressing.
Glenaras 27 hit 25m of net coal at 1,035m with higher gas readings and likely natural fractures, supporting the fault-zone interpretation. Drilled in under 7 days and under budget. Fourth well G25 has spudded; G24 pump is installed.
Third well Glenaras 27 started, targeting the fault zone thought to let water cross into the coals. Rain delayed it. Completion of G24 has begun and a 500 kVA generator is on site. Management says the programme is roughly on budget.
Glenaras 28 reached 1,038m and found 27m of coal with gassy behaviour, like G24. A second unseasonal rain event (over 50mm) halts the campaign until roads dry; Glenaras 27 is next.
The second well, Glenaras 28, started drilling after rain of over 160mm delayed the rig move, and was moved up the order because of more forecast rain. It had reached 200m. Wells take about a week each.
Glenaras 24 reached 1,057m, finding 26m of net coal that was gassy, with fluid losses suggesting a permeable, depleted reservoir. Completed on schedule despite over 100mm of rain. First of five wells done; rig moves to G26 once roads dry.
Drilling began at Glenaras 24, the first of the five new wells, each planned to about 1,000m and about 7 days. Existing pilot wells have run with the longest continuous time yet without pump failure. Some pilot wells may be turned down during the programme.
Silver City Rig 23 is on site and all lease pads and roads for the five wells are complete. First well G24 is expected to spud 20 April, with the first well online in early June. The SPP closes 11 April with no further extension.
Drilling of five new vertical Glenaras wells was set to start 19 April, with Silver City Rig 23 mobilising that week. All wells were online, producing about 60 Mscfd of gas and 17,000 BWPD, and the share purchase plan close was extended a week to 11 April.
Workovers on G10L, G17, G20 and G23 are finished and pumps are back online, restoring pilot water output above 18,000 BWPD. This resolves the pump failures reported since September. Gas has not yet increased; Casey sees the failures as a sign critical desorption was reached.
A A$2.5M programme will fit larger pumps in six vertical wells from late March, aiming to lift pilot water production over 30%. Gas is about 50 Mscfd, with some gas unmeasured. David Woodley, ex-Origin and Shell, is hired as Project Director.
Pumps are installed in Glenaras 19, 20 and 23, with surface pipelines complete and commissioning of Glenaras 19 starting. This keeps the mid-November first-production target from October on track.
The final Glenaras well, 22, found 26 m net coal, completing the five-well programme on schedule and within budget. A completions rig is starting to fit pumps. The company is targeting the first new wells on line by mid-November, with gas and water flowlines about 90% installed.
Glenaras 20, the fourth of five wells, reached total depth on time and budget with 25 m net coal, within expectations. It is cased and suspended. Glenaras 22 spudded 11 October.
Glenaras 19, the third of five wells, reached total depth on time and budget with 25 m net coal, within expectations. It is cased and suspended. Glenaras 20 spudded 4 October.
Glenaras 21, the second of five wells, reached total depth on time and budget with 25.5 m net coal, within expectations. It is cased and suspended. Glenaras 19 spudded 28 September.
