On Aug 18, 2020 Antero agreed to sell $250 million of 4.25% convertible senior notes due Sept 1, 2026, closed Aug 21, 2020, with the initial purchasers holding an option for up to $50 million more. The notes can be converted into shares at about $4.34 per share (230.2026 shares per $1,000), settled in cash, shares or both at Antero's election; the filing gives a maximum of 69,060,750 shares issuable (82,872,900 if the option is fully used), so conversion could dilute shareholders. The filing does not state how the proceeds will be used.
